Recognition Purpose: To recognize and honor chapter leaders of WOVI (those who serve as chapter leaders in the following offices: President, 1st VP, 2nd VP, VP Communications, VP Programs, VP Mentoring, VP Membership, VP Finance, VP Member Services, VP Administration) whose leadership performance has met and exceeded expectation. Recognizing these outstanding WOVI Chapter Leaders further encourages growth in leadership, excellence in service to the members, and to the organization, and to exemplifies leadership to WOVI members and the community at large.

Each year at either the Annual Meeting or other special event during the fourth quarter of the year, every WOVI Chapter has an opportunity to honor a truly outstanding member. Any active member of the Chapter may nominate one or more leaders for any of the chapter positions – (President, 1st VP, 2nd VP, VP Communications, VP Programs, VP Mentoring, VP Membership, VP Finance, VP Member Services, VP Administration) – to be honored at the Chapter level for their contributions to the Chapter.

Outstanding WOVI Chapter Leader of the Year

Please include in your “Reason for Nomination” the following:

• What role does the nominee hold on the chapter’s Leadership Team?
• In what ways has the nominee made outstanding leadership contributions?
• How has the nominee performed in her area of responsibility?
• Has the nominee mentored a successor? How has this ensured the growth of the individual
  and the success of the chapter?
• How does the nominee recognize the accomplishments of other members at chapter meetings?
• How does the nominee instill a sense of pride in her chapter and all members?
• In what ways does this nominee participate in WOVI events beyond the chapter meetings,
  such as conference, LeadersRings, special events, etc.
• In what ways does the nominee seek opportunities to actively promote WOVI to other organizations?
