The in-person LeadersRing on Saturday, April 12, 2014, was focused on charisma and membership. Who better to give us a fabulous presentation on charisma than our fabulous leader, Pauline Shirley? We learned that you do not have to have charisma to be a good leader, but it is a very nice bonus!

The most important thing a leader can do is make us feel good by drawing us to them and giving us hope and confidence. In WOVI’s case, a good leader and mentor gives us the expectation that our wishes become dreams, that our dreams become goals, and our goals become successes. Expecting the best is at the center of a charismatic person’s heart.

Membership was also on the agenda. With the role-playing in acting charismatic, we came up with ideas: to get people to join, to reward those who asked them to join, and to encourage them to become future leaders.

If you missed it, vow to come to the next one on Tuesday evening, May 12, at 7:00 pm Central Time. It will be via conference call so you can truly “come as you are” and incur no travel expenses. Or, get your leadership team together and take the call around a table and feed off each other’s energy! Make plans now to join and participate.

As a chapter leader, you know the LeadersRing is a part of the chapter standards, and it’s always a great way to share best practices and lessons learned. It’s a chance to celebrate you, your leadership team, and your chapter.

As a chapter liaison, it’s another opportunity to interact with and mentor your chapter leaders and to encourage their participation. As a WOVI leader, it’s a chance to share your expertise and influence all of our wonderful chapters.

And you don’t have to be a member of WOVI to participate in the LeadersRing. We invite anyone interested in learning more about leadership and WOVI to attend. Guests can attend twice and there’s never a fee to attend the LeadersRing!

Mark your calendars right now: Tuesday, May 12, at 7:00 pm Central time.
