"What a great organization! I am so grateful for the organization and the Rings They have encouraged me and supported my goals. I was looking and then I found." -- Carolyn Easley, WOVI Addison

I attended the conference because Marilyn Bice had been nominated for the Mentor of the Year.  I came expecting a typical conference with a luncheon and speaker.  What I found was an energized atmosphere where successful women were generously sharing what they were currently doing and how they got there.  I felt a synergy that is not typical of conferences.  The room was filled with amazing, talented women who were there for one another as well as for themselves.  I immediately thought that I wanted to be associated with this type of organization.  My schedule is very full, but I was convinced, after this one meeting, that I needed to be part of this organization.  I found out when the next meeting was being held, showed up, and joined on the spot.”  Dr. Julia Shahid, WOVI Red River

"Six years after stepping back from my career to start a family, I was looking for a group of women from which I could better learn how to combine my career and family life. Women who lived lives of excellence. Women who refused to live a life of mediocrity. A friend suggested that I attend a WOVI meeting: what I found was a group of enthusiastic, caring women who were interested in improving their lives and the lives of others. My first MentoRing experience was amazing and I knew immediately that I wanted to be part of this dynamic organization".  - Janet Six Urquhart, Ph.D., WOVI Firewheel

WOVI is exactly what the name says...Women of Visionary Influence. It is a place where women share their excitement for life and what they are doing or their expertise with each other. It is a gathering of some extraordinary people. I shared freely and openly and approached life with the excitement and joy of a child. It seems that WOVI is one of the non-profits that supports women in being anyone and anything they want to be. This is truly a gift one person can give to another. Charity Wilson
