Laura Holka is a producer, media strategist and founder/creative director of Hat Trick Media. She has over 25 years experience as a producer, writer, consultant and media coach. Much of that time was spent in production doing news, sports and entertainment along with being a part of Arizona’s long running and popular program, “Good Morning Arizona”. Her present producing responsibilities are with media legend and daily inspiration Pat McMahon also “The Chat Room”, both daily programs on AZTV in Phoenix.
As a consultant and coach she has created, written and produced creative media campaigns, television programs, pilots, live talk shows, infomercials and segments. She has also worked with the major broadcast networks on assignments including professional and collegiate basketball, football, baseball, boxing, golf, tennis and hockey.
Laura will discuss how to get media attention for your business, group, organization or cause, and cover the do's and don'ts of appearing on TV. She'll discuss how to pitch the media, press releases, and media/PR etiquette, as well as how to prepare for the interview once you're booked. Time permitting, there may even be some role-playing for those willing to give it a go! |
