WOVI professional artists Kay Kallos and Valery Guignon will lead you on a journey to find your own pathway to connect to art in Dallas.  You will experience new vistas and connect to art in a variety of ways.  You'll also hear from three more WOVI ArtistRing Members - Cynthia Duke-Birowski, Francy Renz and Rosemary Schram.  Come to hear their stories and see their work.

As the Public Art Program Manager at the City of Dallas, Office of Cultural Affairs, Kay Kallos manages the extensive collection of public art and oversees the review and commission of new works for the city.  Before coming to Dallas, she was the Executive Director of the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center.  

Kay has worked as an artist, art historian and arts administrator for over 25 years. She has been an art history professor, as well as VP of Academic Affairs.  Kay has degrees in studio art, art history and German language and culture, and completed a Ph.D. in early 20^th century European Art. 

Valery Guignon, owner of Guignon Designs, is a fabulous designer of unique clothing items, wearable art, purses, and scultpures.  Her diverse art background also includes welding as well and the art of  fabric dyeing.  She majored in Industrial Design at the Pratt Institute.  See examples of her work at http://www.guignon.com/.
